The 97200 introduced fully solid end-links and a solid-link construction that finally matched the case's substantial feel. Later variants added Glidelock micro-adjust (2mm increments up to 20mm) that lets divers accommodate wetsuits without tools. It is the standard Oyster on modern Rolex sports models and, though divisive among vintage purists, represents the state of the art in tool-watch bracelet construction.
